About Minority Report: Everybody Runs

Minority Report: Everybody Runs is a 2002 action title developed by Treyarch and published by Activision, released to coincide with the Steven Spielberg film. Unlike the movie's focus on mystery, the console versions (GCN, PS2, Xbox) are primarily 3D beat-em-ups where players control John Anderton through levels filled with Pre-Crime officers and robots. The gameplay is characterized by its ragdoll physics and the ability to use futuristic weaponry like "Concussion Rifles" or the hero's jetpack to navigate environments. The game is known for its high level of environmental destructibility and its aggressive combat system, which includes throwing enemies through glass windows and off ledges.

The technical experience varies across the platforms. The Xbox version is the most visually robust, offering 480p support and more stable frame rates during physics-heavy combat. The GameCube and PS2 versions are largely identical in content but lack some of the lighting effects and texture clarity found on the Xbox. Conversely, the Game Boy Advance (GBA) version is a completely different experience developed by Vicarious Visions. It is a 2D side-scrolling shooter/platformer that focuses on fast-paced gunplay and cover mechanics, utilizing high-quality sprite work and digitized voice clips. While the console versions aimed for a cinematic physics showcase, the GBA version is an arcade-style action game. Whether you are throwing enemies into neon signs on your Xbox or navigating 2D platforming challenges on your GBA, Minority Report: Everybody Runs focuses on the kinetic energy of its "man-on-the-run" premise.
