Grand Theft Auto: London, 1961
Grand Theft Auto: London, 1961 is the second expansion for the original Grand Theft Auto and serves as a prequel to the 1969 mission pack. Released as a free download, it remains the earliest point in the series' chronological timeline. On PC, it introduced a brand-new map of London, new missions, and 22 additional vehicles. It is notoriously difficult, even by the standards of the early top-down games, featuring tighter time limits and more aggressive police. Because it was released as a small web-downloadable file (only about 7MB at the time), it never saw a console port, making it a "lost gem" for many completionists.
