Band Hero
Band Hero is the first Guitar Hero spin-off to focus entirely on Top 40 pop and rock hits, featuring stars like Taylor Swift, Adam Levine, and Gwen Stefani. While the PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii versions are built on the robust Guitar Hero 5 engine—allowing for any combination of instruments and drop-in/drop-out "Party Play"—the PlayStation 2 version uses the older World Tour engine, meaning it lacks some of the newer multiplayer features. The Nintendo DS version is a technical standout, using the "Guitar Grip" and a new "Drum Skin" peripheral to turn the handheld into a portable full-band experience with 30 platform-exclusive tracks.
