Backyard Baseball '97
Released in late 2024 and throughout 2025, Backyard Baseball '97 is a modern remaster of the original 1997 classic. Developed by Mega Cat Studios and published by Playground Productions, this version was rebuilt through reverse engineering after the original source code was lost. It retains the iconic 2D hand-drawn art and "pick-up-and-play" mechanics while adding modern features like global leaderboards, achievements, and "Crowd Control" for streamers.
