3x3 Eyes: Tenrinou Genmu

Building on the success of the previous titles, 3x3 Eyes: Tenrinou Genmu (released in 1998) is widely considered the peak of the 3x3 Eyes digital adventure series. This entry significantly upped the production values, utilizing multiple discs to house high-quality FMV sequences and a deep, branching narrative that feels like a full-length feature film. You once again step into the role of the immortal Yakumo, traveling across Asia alongside the three-eyed Pai to solve a sprawling supernatural mystery. Unlike its predecessors, this title features a much smoother interface and more "active" exploration, blending the series' trademark dark mythology with the technological power of the late-90s PC and PlayStation hardware.
