1080: Avalanche
Released in 2003, 1080° Avalanche is the successor to the Nintendo 64 classic, trading the technical simulation of its predecessor for a faster, more arcade-focused experience. Developed by Nintendo’s internal studio, NST, the game centers on the sensation of speed and the looming threat of nature. The standout feature is the titular "Avalanche" mode, where players must outrun massive walls of snow and debris that realistically deform the terrain in real-time.
