Aquaman: Battle for Atlantis

Released in 2003, Aquaman: Battle for Atlantis is a mission-based action game based on the Peter David "hook-hand" era of the DC Comics character. The game consists of 21 levels where you defend Atlantis from Black Manta and Ocean Master. Gameplay is split between 2.5D underwater brawling and 3D submarine piloting missions. It is perhaps best known for its "comic book" panel cutscenes and its reputation as one of the most notoriously difficult (and polarizing) licensed games of its generation.
