American McGee's Alice
American McGee's Alice is a cult-classic action-adventure game that redefined the "grim-and-gritty" fairy tale genre. On PC and Mac, it gained fame for its striking art direction and surreal level design. Years later, it was ported to PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 as a digital bonus for its sequel, Alice: Madness Returns. Players guide a knife-wielding Alice through a macabre Wonderland to confront the Queen of Hearts and restore her own shattered psyche. The gameplay blends third-person platforming with brutal combat using "Toys of Death," such as the Vorpal Blade, explosive Jack-in-the-Boxes, and the deck of razor-sharp cards.
