Ace Combat 2

Widely considered one of the greatest sequels on the PlayStation, Ace Combat 2 (1997) took everything from the original Air Combat and elevated it to cinematic heights. Developed by Namco, it introduced a semi-realistic "Ace" pilot system, branching mission paths, and a high-octane soundtrack that blended rock with techno. The game moved away from the "circus-colored" planes of the first entry, opting for authentic military liveries and a much more responsive flight engine that supported the then-new DualShock analog sticks.
